Ryan Lee


Independent Dance Artist Ryan Lee graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.  He has been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers; Roberto Campanella, Robert Glumbek, Emily Molnar, Julia Sasso, Sharon B. Moore, Hanna Kiel, Stepĥen Pier, Tino Segal, Menaka Thakkar, Darryl Tracey, D.A Hoskins, and Guillaume Cote. Ryan has also been able to work with such companies as ProArteDanza, Toronto Dance Theatre, Keaja d’Dance, Anandam Dancetheatre, LarchaudDance, inDANCE, The Little Pear Conservatory, The Chimera Project, AKA Dance, Helix Dance Project and The Scandelles.
In 2011 Ryan was nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Performance in an Ensemble for In between by ProArteDanza. In 2014 Ryan was honoured with the Jack McAllister Award from Ryerson University for outstanding achievement.
Ryan is also very involved in dance education and has been able to work with young dancers across Canada.  He has taught at The Conteur Academy, Ryerson University, DanceTeq, Metro Movement, City Dance Corps, Fresh Dance Intensive and The National Ballet’s In Studio Series.  Ryan has made choreographic works for ProArteDanza, Ballet Jorgen, Anandam Dancetheatre, The Emerging Artist Intensive, George Brown College Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and Dance Ontario.
